Workspace Roles
Workspace roles define what each user can view or manage inside the Portal.
You can manage workspace roles from the Workspace settings page (opens in a new tab).
Available roles
- Owner
- Admin
- Manager
- Agent+
- Agent
Permission model
The system uses these permission groups:
- Manage owner: transfer/assign workspace ownership
- Manage workspace: manage workspace-level settings and management configuration
- Manage conversations: manage conversation operations and be able to see all conversations
- Manage clients: manage client-related operations and be able to see client details

What this means in practice
Owner
- Full access across the workspace
- Can move the workspace ownership to another user
Admin
- Can manage workspace-level configuration
- Can manage conversations and clients
- Cannot perform owner-only actions
Manager
- Focused on operational work
- Can manage conversations and clients in addition to see all conversations and clients
- Cannot manage workspace-level settings
Agent+
- Can manage client-level operations and be able to see client details
- Can only see conversations assigned to them or the unassigned ones
- Does not have workspace or conversation-management permissions
Agent
- Basic role with the lowest permissions
- Can only see conversations assigned to them or the unassigned ones
- Cannot see client details
- Intended for limited operational access
Notes
- Roles are assigned per workspace.
- If a user cannot access a feature, check their workspace role first.
