Telegram

Connect Telegram to receive and answer user messages from Inbox.

Integration steps

  1. Open Telegram and start a chat with @BotFather.
  2. Run /newbot and follow the prompts to create your bot.
  3. Copy the generated bot token.
  4. Open the Channels (opens in a new tab) page.
  5. Click Add channel and choose Telegram.
  6. Paste the bot token in the channel setup form.
  7. Save and enable the channel.

After setup

  • Send a test message to your bot in Telegram.
  • Confirm a new conversation appears in Inbox.
  • Reply from Inbox and verify it reaches Telegram.

Common notes

  • Keep the bot token private; regenerate it in BotFather if exposed.
  • If no messages arrive, re-check token value and channel enabled status.
  • If your bot was recreated, update the token in Bread Crumbs.
