Facebook Messenger
Connect a Facebook Page to receive and reply to Messenger conversations from Inbox.
Before you start
- A Facebook account with admin access to the Page you want to connect
- A Facebook Page (not a personal profile)
- Admin access in your Bread Crumbs workspace
You must log in with the Facebook account that manages the Page. If no Pages appear after login, confirm you have Page admin access in Meta Business Suite.
Integration steps
- Open the Channels page.
- Click Add channel and choose Facebook.
- Enter a channel name and click Next.
- Log in to Facebook when prompted and grant the requested permissions (
pages_messaging,pages_show_list). - Select the Facebook Page you want to connect.
- Confirm and save the channel.
After setup
- Send a test message to your Facebook Page via Messenger.
- Confirm the conversation appears in Inbox.
- Reply from Inbox and verify the message is delivered on Messenger.
Reconnecting
If messages stop syncing or permission errors occur, open the channel from the Channels page, click Edit, and use Reconnect Facebook to refresh the Page connection.
Common notes
- Only Facebook Pages are supported; personal profiles cannot be connected.
- If no Pages are listed after login, verify Page admin access and try again with the correct Facebook account.
- If the Page is already connected in another system, disconnect it there first or choose a different Page.
- You can configure assignment strategies when editing the channel.
