Connect your Instagram account to manage DMs in Inbox.
Before you start
- An Instagram Professional account (Business or Creator)
- Meta Business access with permissions to manage both assets
Integration steps
- Open the Channels (opens in a new tab) page.
- Click Add channel and choose Instagram.
- Start Meta login and sign in with the account that owns the Instagram profile.
- Confirm and grant the required permissions.
- Return to Bread Crumbs and finalize the connection.
- Save and enable the channel.
After setup
- Send a test DM to your Instagram account.
- Confirm the conversation appears in Inbox.
- Reply from Inbox and verify the DM is received on Instagram.
Common notes
- Instagram personal accounts are not supported; switch to Professional first.
- If events stop syncing, reconnect the channel to refresh permissions.
